Delicious Grape Snacks Round Out Weekend
This weekend, Leslie and I spent some time with a bunch of friends on different days. On Saturday, we got to hang out with Peter and Somi. They took us to Pacific Mall, which neither Leslie or I had ever been to. After that, we at dinner at a real Chinese restaurant (not the Anglicized kind, nor the East Indian “Hakka” style).
After we ate more than we possibly thought we could, Peter busted out some awesome snacks. These included strawberry-flavoured rice snack and these grape gummies:

Trust me. They’re awesome. I may not be able to eat North American candy again.

Pacific Mall kind of freaks me out. It’s a huge grid with the same glass walls for every store, so every aisle looks like every other aisle. It’s like a place where you’d be trapped in a nightmare, only with more herbal remedy stores. Great place to go, though, if you want a one-stop shop to get cell phone bobbles, 8 movies that just hit the theatre for $20, and tires.
My favourite Asian snack: Pocky.
So good.

It’s like fuckin’ Blade Runner up in there. I kinda like it. It’s so different from what I’m used to - and wow, the amount of bootleg stuff, both DVDs and game-wise, is just astounding. I mean, wow. Also - they have a lot of cool import stuff that you can’t actually get anywhere other than ordering it in yourself. I saw a cool 20th Anniversary Megatron figure there that would never come to North American stores because it transforms into a gun. AND GUNS ARE BAD, MKAY? YEAH.
