“Yeah, I like PS3!”
I was in Best Buy yesterday and there was a teenager playing a PS3 demo of some desert racing game. It looked decent, almost like stuff on Adam’s computer. Anyhow, this kid played for what had to have been shorter than 2 minutes. Then he turned around to someone who can only have been his mom and said, “Yeah, I like PS3! But too bad they’re limited edition now until they make more next year.”
It makes me sad to hear people in public talking about things they really know nothing about. A part of me feels that I need to correct them, but an even bigger part of me says, “Fuck it. This guy can eat shit with a spoon.”
One thing, however, that I thought about afterwards is that even though this kid liked the PS3 so much, he didn’t really play that game as much as he could have. His mom wasn’t making him leave. No one was waiting in line behind him to play the game, either. So did he really like it, or did he just think he did?

The game hypnotized him momentarily to say that.
I guarantee you that after five minutes he didn’t even remember that he was playing a PS3.

Haha, maybe it’s like those Pepsi and Coca-cola taste tests. Pepsi won the blind taste test overrall partially because it was sweeter and when people had a little taste, they preferred it. But Coca-cola eventually sold better because people didn’t want a whole bottle of excessive sweetness.
So maybe the PS3 is Pepsi, and the Wii is Coca-cola :P

I’d prefer to think the kid has never touched a cartridge-based game console and that furthermore, he is a moron.
